The School of Artisan Food exists to teach all aspects of artisan food production. It offers a unique opportunity for people of all skill levels, from complete beginners through to industry professionals, expanding their knowledge through a wide range of short courses, and a one-year Advanced Diploma.
The School has an outstanding reputation for the quality of training it provides, with courses being taught by some of the most skilled and experienced artisan producers and practitioners in the UK, Europe and beyond.
We offer a unique opportunity for international students and tutors to experience artisan food production in the beautiful surroundings of the Welbeck Estate, in the heart of the UK. Our study tours are an excellent way to gain an international perspective of artisan food, traditional methods and techniques, anthropology, culinary arts and food science. Each study tour is tailored to meet the needs of student groups and their college/university program or faculty and can be a mix of practical courses, educational visits and trips to food and cultural destinations. Our in-house courses, taught by expert tutors and artisan producers, combine practical and theoretical teaching and tastings of produce to provide an unrivalled learning experience.
