yes it was i learned a ton about myself, the language, and what i want in life.

Excessively rigorous, no one really told us how difficult it was going to be.

On-site administration of your program

did not feel supported whatsoever. multiple students had extreme problems with the administration. they handled the metro strike incredibly poorly and offered minimal advice.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

i think all students should be housed in foyer internationale des etudiantes. was by far the best housiig option.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

sciences po kids were extremely unfriendly, but i eventually made friends in my foyer.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

I would absolutely not ever go back to sciences po. the prestige on my resume was absolutely not worth the stress/anxiety.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I spent more money in a week than I would in two months at Middlebury. Food, activities, etc were astronomically expensive.

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Opportunities to engage with culture in the city (you don't really have to travel)
  • becoming better at french
  • made me realize i can survive anythiing

  • Better administration/advising in the paris office
  • more grade leniency/pass fail for spo students
  • letting people live together in same foyer
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? how difficult the school was how horrible my gpa would be coming back

Comments: extremely challenging. assumes knowledge of french politics, political structure, law system. professor was genuinely mean and did not want exchange students in her class, she made it impossible to participate.
