What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained cherished experiences and friendships. Also, I honed research skills and expanded my knowledge of coral reefs and marine policy.

Students are housed on the quaint SEA Semester campus. Your housemates are your classmates and this, I believed, helped to foster good relations among students.

This program was most relevant to me.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Food, housing, and transportation in Woods Hole was provided for in the fees. I thought the arrangement with a local grocery store; each house was given a gift card weekly, worked well, and bikes are provided for travel within the area.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? In Woods Hole = $5.00 On ship: It depended on how much you spent at port stops buying meals if you desired, (all meals were provided for), and souvenirs.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Keep some emergency money, especially in the currency of the places you are visiting.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I had prepared myself for the weather. Fall in Woods Hole was colder than I anticipated.
