What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
You learn a lot about yourself and adapting to your surroundings. It was definitely worthwhile as long as you don’t mind being outside of your comfort zone.

This program was exactly what I wanted. It’s a nice small group so you really become close with everyone. It’s very targeted to a specific group of science-minded individuals so you can talk about your projects and gain knowledge from your peers as well as your professors.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Besides the program itself, there is very little you have to spend money on which is really nice

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? The people who are on your program and their attitudes really define your attitude and your excitement. I think having a positive outlook will create a more positive experience

The Networker
An active student leader, it was important for you to network abroad as well. Once overseas, you sought out student clubs, volunteered with local organizations, or attended community events. You encouraged your friends join you, and often considered how you could reflect your international experiences in a resume.
