What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
SEA Semester will teach you independence and decision-making, in addition to its usual curriculum of oceanography, maritime history, and nautical science. By the end of the program, you're in charge of navigating and conducting research from a 135-foot brigantine sailing through some of the world's most beautiful oceans. Everything about the program is excellent, including the faculty. SEA Semester has programs available for science and non-science majors alike.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It's a unique program – after the initial six weeks on a small campus in Woods Hole, MA you spend six weeks living and working on board a 135-foot sailing vessel. You effectively become a member of the ship's crew while conducting your own research, which is an incredibly challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
