Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The best experience of my life. Teaching methods was the almost the same exact as any university. However, it was unique because we basically had to go on 2 field trips in the country for each class.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

We all lived on the boat together so they were very accessible.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We lived in cabins on the ship and it was amazing. We had a cabin steward who cleaned the rooms almost every day.

* Food:

They food was mediocre.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The ship had many non academic activities and they were really fun.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

They were very cautious and prepared us for every port very well.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent around $5000 in outside expenses for the entire semester. I spent a different amount of money in each port.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Budget a ton of money because there are a TON of hidden expenses.
