Personal Information

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Classes are difficult, but manageable. Go to class, put what you learn into practice while you're in the different countries. That's real world experience.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Perfect roommate match.

* Food:

The food was like dorm food. Not good, not bad. However, I did lose weight on the trip because of the consistency of Salad, protein, cards etc...

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

You can go out and party all the time, or you can take some of the explorations where you are learning and immersed in the culture.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Doctors on the ship. It's great!

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I was on a budget for sure, and there are tons of students who are! You can go back to the ship at almost every port to eat if you don't want to spend money on food. Where it gets tricky is some of the explorations are costly.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 125
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Always eat breakfast and dinner on the ship. Lunch out is good and still affordable. Plan your excursions so you don't miss every meal on the ship.
