Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Very academic intensive. Quantitative driven. Friendly and competitive student body. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Very helpful and heartwarming service.Well organized system. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Had to find accommodations on my own because there is only one choice of hostel offered by the uni, and it was very far away from the campus. So that took some effort. |
* Food: |
One of things I love about Singapore. Wide range of food including Chinese, Indian, Malay, Thailand, and many other options. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Very integrated with my Chinese background. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I did not know where exactly the health center is, but insurance is required for the programme. |
* Safety: |
Absolutely safe in Singapore. Very trustworthy social security environment. You can walk outside at 3am in the morning. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
One of the most expensive cities/countries in the world. Certainly not cheap to live there. Especially housing. However, hocker foods are very cheap and delicious! |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | SGD150-200 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Eat hocker foods! They are good and cheap. Wide range of choices as well. |
