What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained Spanish skills and confidence, and I matured a lot through exploring the city and completing my internship. Yes it was very worthwhile.

My host family was absolutely incredible. I was placed perfectly.

Very safe for a city environment. It is important to be alert and to keep your phone/jewelry concealed, but I never felt threatened/nervous.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I had an incredible time on my program. The academic experience was unparalleled, my host family was so loving, and I made amazing friends. Buenos Aires has a great social scene, and there is so much to do. Additionally, I got to travel to five other Argentine provinces, as well as Chile and Uruguay.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Buenos Aires is cheaper than New York, so I had a relatively easy time. I saved up a couple thousand dollars and had no issues buying food, shopping, and purchasing flights & AirBnBs.

How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

We were only allowed to speak Spanish during class and on excursions. We were very encouraged to speak Spanish.

What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? 300 level at my university

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Watch tv, listen to music, and read in Spanish. And trust yourself that you will get better!
