It was definitely worthwhile. I learned about human rights and social movements, how to participate in social change, and how to be an independent and strong person.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? That study abroad isn't going to be sunshine and rainbows. There are going to be days when you just want to stay in bed, and there are going to be days when you want to go home. But the good days will outweigh the bad.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
