What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This program was definitely worthwhile in a number of ways, particularly regarding the cultural immersion. We lived with host families who welcomed us into their homes and their hearts, introducing us to their culture, dinners, coffee chats, and watching soccer games in front of the television together. Both our host families and the Directors helped us adjust culturally to such a different country than the United States, and while they were always there to support us, this program taught me more than anything how to be independent and how to trust myself and situations that are terrifying or culturally confusing, especially in a second language. If I could, I would go back and do this program in a heartbeat.

It’s a choose your own adventure, where you will get to steer your own learning and your own cultural immersion
