Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

This is a real study abroad program, where you learn from readings and from experience. Take your courses and assignments seriously, while you have fun.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Amazing team of directors who will assist you in every possible way. The program would not have been the great experience it was without them.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The program directors check up on you regularly to see if you are comfortable with your host family. Communicate your needs honestly and everything will be grand.

* Food:

Paraguayan food is the best!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Four months in Buenos Aires and you will inevitably find your place among the porteños.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I only went to the hospital once to accompany a friend who got hurt. Our director took us to the hospital and back. She was very supportive during the whole chaotic episode. I am happy to say this was one of my favorite memories.

* Safety:

Do not be afraid, be attentive. Keep celular devices and bags close at ALL TIMES.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

This is the only program that will bring you the four countries in four months. Each country is a different story and it’s beautiful.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

The student budget may have been easier, if there was no inflation. And if we lived in a less well-to-do area, where everything is more expensive.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Too much.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Always avoid spending your money. Literally, you should save.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Advanced
How would you rate your language skills at the end of the program? Advanced
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? Spanish 3
