Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Food was provided in my home-stay, most of the money I spent was on transportation because I lived in a neighboring town. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | If money-saving is a big priority, request that you live in the city of Valpo rather than in Vina del Mar, a neighboring town. You'll save lots of money on cabs if you don't have far to go in the evenings. |
Language

The program encouraged language use by placing us with host families who generally didn't speak English, which made it a must to practice our Spanish. |
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | Advanced |
How would you rate your language skills at the end of the program? | Advanced |
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? | Third year university level languages courses. |

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | Pick a program that allows you to stay with a host family!
