My Spanish definitely improved, and through the independent project I gained confidence in myself and my research and writing abilities. It was worthwhile.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

You can eat all of your meals at your house (or take meals to classes if you don't want to return home during the lunch break) so really the only things I spent money on were souvenirs/gifts, snacks or occasional dinners at restaurants, going out, and independent travel.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew to structure my time during the ISP period better. It seems like a lot of time, and it is, but it is less stressful if you space out your work.
