What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I improved my Spanish skills and gained enough confidence to go up to strangers and start conversations. I also learned about the Chilean healthcare system, which added to my understanding of our own healthcare system.

I enjoyed many aspects of the program, especially the experience we gained in the CESFAMS (health centers), which was very practical. I also really liked the host families.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Chile is a very machísta culture, so many places I went I got cat called. It is best to go places in groups, especially if you are going out late at night.
