What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Throughout the program, I was constantly learning about new ecosystems, environmental concepts, research conduction, Ecuadorian culture, and Spanish. All of this, and everything in between, was extremely worthwhile!

I would definitely choose this program again! From living with host families to going on trips to different ecosystems to completing an independent research project, every second was an opportunity to learn, grow, and laugh.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I would've prepared for how exhausted I would be. Although I wouldn't actually change the pace or schedule, as we'd then have less time to see and do things, it is very fast-paced with little time in between excursions, so I would recommend to get lots of rest before you arrive.
