* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I have an excellent relationship with my host family, and even though I have been back in the USA for a few months, I still often talk to my host sister and host mother. SIT really works to pair you with a family that will match your needs and personality.

* Food:

Incredibly delicious. The food that I had with SIT is some of the best food I have had in my entire life, and I haven't been able to find my favorite dishes that are comparable back home. It also was very easy to either be a vegetarian or to eat meat.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Navigating Jaipur is a little tricky, but SIT takes precautions to help keep their students safe. At the beginning of the program there is a two week transition period where you learn everything you might need to know in terms of safety and navigation.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
