What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to cope with stress, how to give up on plans and go with the flow, and how to connect with someone from a wildly different culture. It was entirely worthwhile.

I would want to experience a different program! But, I do want to go back to Indonesia, and continue research in Java.

  • More ISP money
  • more depth in gajah mada university lectures or an easier mode to translate them quickly and well so presenters could speak in their native tongue and not have to dumb it down to get it into english
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Island time is real
