What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
-learned alot about the humanitarian and refugee crisis and the role imperialism and colonialism had creating the crisis - I learned a lot about humanitarian standards

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was easier for me to integrate to the local culture because im muslim, but despite not being Arab the Jordanian people were so nice and welcoming

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had a terrible cough the first couple weeks and I went to the doctors, the program staff does a great job at scheduling an appointment and the programs healthcare covered the cost

* Safety:

It was really safe

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I loved my time in Jordan, as a first time traveler, my host family, the program staff + the other American students in my program were so great.

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

the program provided a stipend so it was rare for me to go over that budget

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? -pack light! you will buy a lot of things in Jordan, I thought I would not but I did and my suitcases were overweight
