It was exciting and an adventure, there were ups and downs, but I walked away with a greater cultural understanding and better connection to myself and the world.

The ISPJ (independent study period journalism) was the most rewarding part of the experience and completely unique to other study abroad programs. The whole semester was worth it for these 5 weeks of independent research. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The homestays were a little rocky at the beginning with placement, but the teachers are super helpful with speaking to the coordinator and helping you adjust to the very new environment. It's a great way to experience cultural immersion. |

Very immersive, which is great. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
A few people in our program got sick from the village stay but were taking care of accordingly. |

It's safe but be aware, especially if you are a woman. |

Everything is much cheaper than in the U.S.! Very minimal costs. Great for if you're on a budget. |
