Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Stefanie Pollander was the best! |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
For two months I lived with Host families, and one month with other American students. Both were awesome experiences, but if I had to advocate for one, I'd say live with the host family! |
* Food: |
Bland food overall, but it's all part of the experience. Lots of rice and beans, and be sure to try the gnut sauce. I was a vegetarian, and never had to eat meat. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Lake Kivu was awesome, anything to do with the Nile is recommended. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I got staf infection once, but had great doctors at the local clinic. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | The class content is incredible depressing (yet hopeful to some degree). Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster, and to grow like never before. |
