SIT Study Abroad: Senegal: Global Security and Religious Pluralism
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was perhaps the best thing I've done during my entire time at college. It gave me a new perspective on a number of things, and encouraged me to explore different ways of learning, a diverse variety of materials, and completely new ideas, all while surrounding me with a supportive community and interesting students. I had a fabulous time, and would highly recommend SIT Senegal to anyone.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The program allowed me to learn in new ways, including hands on experience, arts, music, cooking, and ridiculously small classes. I felt completely academically fulfilled, challenged enough to feel stimulated but left with plenty of time for cultural exploration and synthesis on my own. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes

Language
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | Intermediate |
Language acquisition improvement? |
My French got so much stronger during this program... Great language teachers, and a mandatory homestay make speaking French unavoidable all the time. |
