we also did very very rural excursions, and a 3 week project where you lived near your personal research. it depends. I loved it though!

it's a LOT of food..and kind of greasy. Just be ready to be flexible!

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

AMAZING!!!

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

the program kept us very safe. you just have to use common sense

Language acquisition improvement?

We took a 2 credit Zulu language class, and lived with Zulu-speaking families. the Class only lasted 6 weeks, but gave a very good base for communication.
