Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The course work was elementary, and not rewarding. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The administration's only success was in placing host families. The academic director was otherwise incompetent, and would often blame the system on his own inadequacies. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
One bedroom of a suburban house to myself. Menzah 8, Arianna. Twenty minute walk to the metro.

Family was wonderful, location was ok. |
* Food: |
Would be hard to be a vegatarian. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I did not feel like I made that many Tunisian friends. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Harassment toward women is a daily occurrence, but only twice was it ever beyond verbal. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
Language acquisition improvement? |
I had had previous instruction in French and none in Arabic, but I believe that my skills in both languages improved dramatically. |
