The program was challenging on immersion but was not challenging academically

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The living conditions and home stays were often hard but giving the circumstances very good

Uganda's food is very relative to their country and hard to achieve nutrition from

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I was forced to be very deep in Ugandan culture

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I was often sick and the program was very helpful, the health care there in of itself is just very hard

* Safety:

It is often hard to feel safe in Kampala, but nothing bad ever happened to me

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

At the point I am at in my academic career, this program was the best option for me. It was hard and not the best academically at times, but it was the best option for me when I was deciding where to go

Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
