* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I didn't have a roommate so that was not as fun but my host mom was amazing

* Food:

I am a vegetarian and they were very accommodating to my diet preferences

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt very safe all the time. Granada is a very safe city even at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

It was so convenient that everything was already planned and that I didn't have to do anything myself. Everyone was so nice and helpful and just fun to be around.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Very easy considering all of my meals were paid for so I never had to worry about not having food or having to pay for it

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? depends on the week i guess but probably no more than 20 euro
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? don't waste money on food when your host family cooks all your meals for you. You don't need that candy bar or smoothie after class. Save your money and take a weekend trip to Morocco or Barcelona.

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
