My language skills improved, however, not as much as I has hoped. I very much enjoyed my experience in Barcelona and wouldn't change it for the world. I learned a lot about the Spanish life and culture.

My program arranged a week long field trip to the south of Spain where we studied the art history in three different cities. We also took a day long field trip to a monastery. |

Barcelona is a very safe city. I stayed out all hours of the nights and never experienced any problems. The most common crime there is pick pocketing which is something students should be very aware of and take precautions to prevent any encounters with this. I did have to go to the hospital once. I was taken in an ambulance to a hospital one night, however, it was much more inexpensive than it would have been at home, and I did not encounter any problems while there. |
