Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I loved the first two weeks of classes, but we were transferred to a different school for the last week that I didn't like as much.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I loved German. He was fantastic. He knew so much about the city, the culture, and history.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved everything about living in spain but I got unlucky with the host mom I was placed with. She was rude and unfriendly.

* Food:

I was never hungry and all the food tasted good.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I loved all the other students I met, we became really close really fast, and I was sad to leave them at the end.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

My friend had to go to the hospital, and everything was dealt with very well, and she was okay. At night I felt a little vulnerable walking around.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced spanish with almost everyone I saw. I used spanish every day within the home, school, and on the street. Most people spoke spanish, but at the school a lot of people spoke english because the program is based in Texas, USA.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
