What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

I learned that even if you choose to travel domestically and attend another school in the U.S.you can have an extremely different experience than at Wellesley. I met so many diverse people and really got the opportunity to experience a different type of college life. The experience was definitely worthwhile.

Lear how to use public transportation early if you think it would be helpful or make group trips and use a car service to cut the cost of travel. Most importantly however, never venture out alone.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?	Experiencing the college with other exchange students
* What could be improved?	More communication prior to entry especially about financial aid and paying tuition
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program?	I wish I had known that even though I may not have been a "real" student at Spelman it would have been worthwhile to get involved with more clubs ad activities on campus. It's a really good way to network and make close friends with students who actually attend the college as opposed to just spending time with other exchange students.

The Outright Urbanite A social butterfly, you're happiest in bustling cities with hip people, and took advantage of all it had to offer. You enjoyed the nightlife, and had fun going out dancing, and socializing with friends. Fun-loving and dressed to the nines, you enjoyed discovering new restaurants, shops, cafes, and bars in your host country.

Comments:	I feel that this course was one of my most memorable because it focused on an topic that is rarely discussed in the classroom but which I feel is extremely significant and relevant to the lives of Black Female students. I would suggest it to students interested in the Spelman exchange because I think it is the type of course that you will not find elsewhere and is thus a really important and unique academic opportunity.
