Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload was very manageable and there was plenty of time to explore and see the country. There were also a good amount of group excurtions. The teaching method was different then most average classes. It was a lecture style class, however, there were different professors lecturing each hour, which kept it interesting.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The stregths were that there was a lot of professors who helped students at all times. The group meshed well together and participated in activities together even when they were not part of the class. Some of the weaknesses were that the class could have been more interactive to keep students attention the whole time.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The apartment we stayed at was very nice. However, there were a few issues with the landlord. Overall it was a good expirience.

* Food:

The quality of the food was good. The food tastes different even though itlooks the same. It is also difficult to order at times because everything is in another language. However the waiters are helpful and most of the time they have easy stuff to order like pizza or fries.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There were many things that were memorable but mostly the people and friends I made. I think the best expirience was going island hoping. It was fun but informative.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I did not have any personal expirience with the health care system. Overall i felt safe and secure. I did not need any vaccines for the trip. I did get a booster tdap shot.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I kept my spending as low as i could. I think about $150 per week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Bring extra money and make sure you make a budget for yourself.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I think that outgoing student would benefit the most. Introverted students would benefit but only if they are willing to step out and do things on thier own. There wont always be someone to hold your hand.
