A greater appreciation for the life that I have here in America. Yes it was worthwhile.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

It was a study tour, so the educational aspect came mostly from experience and discussions. However, we did have to keep a journal and write a research paper when we returned.

Everyone in India was super nice and generous.

We were very integrated...we did not do typical "tourist" things.

Our professor made sure we were as safe as possible the entire trip without smothering us and taking away from the experience of being independent.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? India is very cheap so it is pretty easy to save money there. Plus, bargaining is always an option.

We learned a lot of easy Hindi phrases but I never really needed to use them.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Try practicing with others before you leave...watch movies with the language in it.
