Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA): Connecting with People and Nature in Sweden Maymester Program

Experience one of the most beautiful natural environments on Earth in SWEDEN!  This engaging program will connect students from SFA with faculty and students at Älvdalen Educational Center, a Post-Secondary College located in Älvdalen, Sweden.  Älvdalen is located in the picturesque forest, lakes and mountains region of Sweden.  The college in Älvdalen supports highly advanced technical programs in natural resources, forestry, recreation and tourism, wildlife management, and hospitality.  Program participants will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by using high-end technology and resources unavailable at SFASU.  Participants will also explore the ecology, history, and culture of Sweden by visiting forest, recreation and hospitality resources.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn from a culture that has been sustainably managing forest ecosystems and how people interact with nature for centuries.
