This 12-day study abroad offers insight into the history of one of the oldest nation states in western civilization, the Republic of Ireland, contrasted with the contemporary impact of globalization on the educational system and lives of Irish citizens.
In Dublin - Cultural excursions include walking tour, historic sites of Dublin, including Trinity College, Book of Kells, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church cathedral, traditional Irish music and dance, museums, shopping, pubs; Day trips to Glendalough & St. Kevin's monastery, Wicklow County and Newgrange, County Meath.
In Galway - Cultural excursions include walking tour of historic Galway; Day excursions to Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Dun Guaire castle, fishing villages, theater, pubs, local music, artisan market / shopping.
