This 12 day doctoral research seminar in Beijing and Xi’an is designed to promote awareness and cultural understanding of the educational system in China. Furthermore, students will ex-amine the dynamics of rapid social and economic change in urban and rural settings including visits to the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City Center, Summer Palace, Ming’s Tomb, Terra Cotta Warriors, Famen Temple, museums, public gardens, artistic performances, and more.
