What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My trip was most definitely worthwhile! I gained so much knowledge and empathy for others that I could not have without going out of the country. Traveling abroad opened my eyes to the amazing world outside of my town and the United States. I experienced what it felt like to be in a brand new place and not know how to speak the language. Now I know how students from others countries feel when they come to the US. I also realized how everyone in this world is different and that that is okay. It is important to recognize the differences that people have, but it's even more important to respect them for that.

  • I loved everything about the trip!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I knew that I needed to be more aware of my surroundings and more observant before I went on the trip, but I just wish I would have taken that advice more seriously.
