I had a great time. Outside of school everything was AMAZING. I wish I hadn't enrolled with SACI but living in Italy and a foreign country in general is ABSOLUTELY worth it. I felt like I was at art day camp and that it was just a ploy to boost the nation's liquor sales. I wouldn't trade the experience for the world, but I wouldn't do it again.

The workload was miniscule- I appreciate that the school took into account that we were young folk in a new and exciting environment, but there was very little expected of us and therefore there was almost too much free time. It was great for exploring the city and the country but honestly the academics were a bit of a joke. |

The staff were great and more than willing to help out with any and all problems. Things ran smoothly and they were very knowledgable and understanding. |

The apartment was absolutely beautiful, had two bathrooms, three double rooms and a great little patio, in home laundry and a great dining area. The roommates were another story... |

Buy your food at the central market! it's cheap, fresh, delicious and a blast to cook with. Every thing I ate just blew me away. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I went to Carnivale in Viareggio- it was amazing. Much less touristy and much cooler than Venice. Wandering the streets and meeting people is a blast. Learn the language to get the most out of it! |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |

I had a kidney infection for a while, the school and doctor were very helpful and understanding. As far as safety is concerned, just walk confidently, walk with people and don't go anywhere alone with strangers unless you're really sure it's the best thing to do. |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | The teachers are great, the administration is great but bad students make a bad school. There is too much free time and the majority of the students didn't respect the school/classes/teachers at all which just led everyone into a downward spiral of apathy. |
