Study Abroad Programs in Argentina

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I made lifelong friends and my spanish increased dramatically. I grew up a lot and learned how to encounter situations.

I was very satisfied with my courses but I wish I would have been forced to speak the language a bit more.

My two directors were very approachable and available.

My host mom made me feel right at home.

I enjoyed trying the delicacies on the streets and everything prepared at my host home was delicious!

The program administrators did a great job explaining things to us.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

This did not apply to me.

I felt extremely safe and the neighborhood where I was located was especially safe.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I was able to live on a student budget very easily as food and living expenses were fairly low. I did have issues with having money readily converted though.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Buy local instead of American products. Try to buy things in bulk or groceries rather than eating out at every meal.
