A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • flexibility
  • exposure to a professional environment
  • european lifestyle
* What could be improved?
  • folow-up with how students are doing
  • timeliness
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? That the education system is very different and there are less opportunities to pull-up your grades. It is explained in the manuals, but it should be emphasized more that professors in Europe aren't as open to discussing how you are doing in their classes. They are not concerned with how you're performing in their class, their priority is teaching.

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
