Study Abroad Programs in Costa Rica

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I combined it with my Capstone course in International Economics. Sol Education directors put me in touch with 2 Costa Ricans Economists Professors with whom I got to exchange ideas and discuss with. It helped me collect my data and prepare my research paper on the Costa Rican economy.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Things were quite similar. The method of grading is different as they have ascale of 100, 90, 80 out of 100 like being their A grade with 100 being a distiction mark.

The program is adorable as it mixes field trips, tourism and classes at the same time.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

The food was good.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The visit to Arenal was awesome and unforgetable because of volcanic thermal water.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Though, we were told to be careful and not expose ourselves too much, Costa Ricans seemed to be very hospitable.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Avoid use of English by any means. I possible and applicable better try to explain your ideas with diferent words even though that may seem longer.
