Study Abroad Programs in Costa Rica

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I now teach ESL and I know what it is like to be in a country and not know the language. These experiences I believe have helped me to become a better Teacher to my students because I understand where they are coming from but also it gave me some great innovative activities and ideas that I learned from Study abroad which helped me to learn Spanish.

My Teacher was awesome! I learned so much and the best way to learn a language is to study abroad!! I love Sol's Programs they are the Best!!

On-site administration of your program

My host family treated me like family. Practiced alot with me and helped with everything, homework etc.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I did not have to buy anything my host mom even washed my clothes for me!

* Food:

Test out local food but my host family were great cooks!!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I loved all of the excursions, the weekend excursion in the rainforest was the best!

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I had a key. Always felt safe but you must take the same precautions as you would at your actual home town.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes
