Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The class, field trips, and teacher were great only there was one problem I struggled with. The class was entitled Gods and Heroes of Classical Mythology and I expected to learn about the gods as well as the heroes. What I did learn about the gods was great, it was that we only touched based on them for two days and heroes for the rest of the class. I didn't mind learning about the heroes but I wanted to learn more about the gods. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The administration were excellent! Everyone was so nice and very helpful when I needed questions to be answered. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The housing was satisfying for what I needed it for but I just wasn't prepared for the typical college housing due to coming from a university with great on campus housing. |
* Food: |
I really enjoyed the food! Fish and chips are so much better in London that America!! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I loved learning and engaging in the culture and social aspects of London. It was great seeing things that were different but also the same as America. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I had no health issues while I was there so I have no comment on the health care. |
* Safety: |
The safety seemed to be very good and what we would see back at home. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
For the most part, I was able to live on a student's budget. There were some things I was not expecting that had to pay for when I went there but other than that, expenses were okay. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 100 to 150 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Make sure you budget for everything such as transportation, souvenirs wherever you go, and food. |

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | How much money I would have had to pay for traveling throughout the country. I was told traveling was covered in my costs when really it only was for two excursions. |
