Living with a family can be awkward. So can Japanese roommates.

Becky was great about taking care of all that. Glad she was there though, because I wouldn't have known what to do otherwise!

You have to be smart, but I never felt unsafe.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Use it all the time. With roommates, go to the market and just talk to the vendors, order in Spanish, with the group, use it!
