Difficulty immersed in the Kenyan culture. It was nice that the majority of people new english to communicate- but also taught us Swahili. Great group size. We were kept busy. The pharmacy was a little unorganized but we did our best to keep things straight. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Mixed with locals staying at the hostel. Not all toilets had seats or toilet paper. We did have mosquito netting and security guard at the gate. |

same food everyday, but that was what was available to us and safe to eat. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
We went on a safari, visited an elephant orphanage, and went to a giraffe park were pet the giraffe. |

Food was prepared specially for us, we could only eat a certain places too with a limited menu. |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Defiantly need medical background. Be patient and flexible- plans will change. This is an experience of a lifetime. |
