Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
it was like pre-school for college students, not because there was no homework, it probably would have been better with less homework because most of the time it was just busy work, but there was course material was minimal and you didnt need to actually learn much to get through the class |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
the classes were too easy and not engaging enough, it lacked the structure of a real class, even if they are supposed to be made "easier" so we have time to travel you can still make the classes more engaging without giving too much homework |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Acorn is not very good at maintaining functional facilities

not enough kitchen appliances, i didnt even own a spatula, and i wouldnt mind our fridge and lights and washer/dryer breaking so often if the maintenance people actually came to fix it when they said they would |
* Food: |
food is pretty expensive but if you know how to cook your fine |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
people in london are interesting and relatively easy to meet because they are friendly |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
i felt very safe |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 300-400 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | only take out a fixed amount per week from the atm and spend only that money til next week |
