Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
classes aren't as intense as normal BU classes but you I learned more about myself through these classes than through any course at Binghamton |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Emily, Ryan and all the professors are very friendly and helpful. You can call or e-mail them anytime with any questions or concerns and they will get back to you. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Small but has everything you need and the location is amazing.

Housing was okay but the location made up for all the shortcomings. The apartment includes everything you need and gets cleaned once a week |
* Food: |
So many grocery stores and restaurants around that it is very easy to find something good to eat |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Anything you could want to do is available to you. From sports to food to museums and nightlife or art- there is so much to do and see in London it is impossible to fit it all in one semester. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Never felt unsafe in the city, the program does a good job of explaining the healthcare system and helping you if you need a doctor or anything like that. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I spent around 7,000 total but I also ate out a lot and did quite a bit of shopping and saw a lot of shows. If you want to live cheaper it is definitely possible |

Individual Course Reviews
Course Name/Rating: |
Writing About London |
Course Department: | Eng 380R |
Instructor: | Professor Rosenberg |
Instruction Language: | English |
Comments: | The class involves a lot of class discussion, be prepared to share your work but the class and professor are really relaxed so it isn't stressful. Most of the outside assignments are readings and a 3-5 page journal entry which is great because you get a written account of your trip. The class does a lot to incorporate London by going on trips or by bringing in speakers. |

Shakespeare on Stage |
Course Department: | ENG 400H |
Instructor: | Professor Rosenthal |

Comments: | Class involves reading and going to see plays and class time is usually spent discussing plays and working on group presentations. A great class because you are able to see tons of Shakespeare plays in London and you go on a trip to the Globe. |

Comments: | A great class because almost all of class time is spent going on trips around london to museums, parks and places like Greenwhich. There's minimal work outside the class, we had weekly responses to news articles. |

Comments: | My favorite class by far! Class discussion and presentations but the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. Felt more like a book club than a class |
