It was definitely worthwhile because I learned so much about an entire different country and saw what the conditions are actually like there.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I learned so much and I think that traveling is actually the best way to learn about anything. It is so much better than learning in traditional ways. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
the program was very helpful and professor gupta was very instructional |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
lived in a hotel that was decently comfortable, was considered nice for india. WE also stayed in hostels at Lovely University, which were not comfortable.

The sheets were damp at times and things were dirty and dusty, but so was everything in India. |
* Food: |
I did not enjoy the Indian food and could not wait to eat American food. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I enjoyed meeting and getting to know all the students on the trip. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
The streets were chaotic and crazy and there were massive crowds, and if a person got lost it would be impossible to find them. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Not a lot because everything is so cheap. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Did more shopping than I expected but still spent a lot less than i thought. |
Language
Language acquisition improvement? |
didnt learn the language |
