Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

A great interaction of lecture/ reading as a traditional means of education mixed with learning by doing, meeting people, seeing things and immersion in India.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Dr. Gupta was a one man administration- and he took care of everyone's problems.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Hotel

wish i had more heat and hot water but i suppose that created a more authentic experience

* Food:

almost all the food was really good and we learned a lot about the differences in cuisines and it was vegetarian =)

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

meeting locals is my favorite part of traveling and the events we had with dean dhillon and dr. gupta's family were invaluable

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Good predeparture session to advise on health and dr. gupta helped those who became ill during the trip. i mostly felt safe in india but was always aware i was very far from home and should be careful.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? all the money i spent went to souvegnirs- around $250
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? n/a, spent less than i expected

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

Most Indians speak English. A few couldn't communicate but it was never an issue.
