What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Become more independent and outgoing because you have to be. If you want to get things done, you have to do them for yourself. Figure out to live around others with different cultures and different backgrounds, both British and American.

Placed in a block of British students which I enjoyed very much. Allowed me to become apart of the British experience rather than just examine it as an outsider. <br /><br /> |

Compared to home university the select was poor and food was less than satisfactory. |

| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Weekly expenditures varied while about the host university. It depends on how much an individual wants to go out, or eat outside of the halls. The month break in which most international students traveled Europe was extremely expensive. Over the semester I spent close to $5,000 (American dollars). The exchange rate will get the best of you! |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | The exchange rate was hard to adjust to and expenses such as toiletries and random groceries will add up quick. |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Do it! It's by far one of the greatest experiences you'll have! It's not easy to be so far away from family and friends, but you will quickly become a part of your own family abroad. Find international students abroad, they are in the same boat and I know that the friends I have made will be life long friendships! |
