Founded in 1905, Korea University is considered to be one of the best private institutions of higher education in Asia with a strong emphasis on excellence in teaching and research and serving Korean society. The university is centrally located in the hilly Anam-dong section of Seoul with an attractive parkland campus. KU is a multicultural institution with more than 5,000 international students contributing to an overall student population of about 28,500. Subways and microbuses provide easy transportation from the campus to all parts of the city.
