SUNY Geneseo: Moscow - History, Politics, and Culture
It was more of a cultural experience than a political one, but it was definitely worthwhile.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The professors at MSU were interesting and informative, but some of them got off topic and I feel like we didn't learn about the topics as much as we could. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Olga was energetic and so fun to be around. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
MSU is beautiful on the outside, but the rooms are old and decrepit on the inside. Hot water would have also been a benefit. |
* Food: |
Delicious food at the faculty. Very adaptive to dietary needs. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
By the end of the program, I felt as though we knew Moscow better than some of the students at MSU. The classes on arts and literature really helped as well. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
There didn't seem to be too many health issues (other than the everyday traveling cold), but I'm sure they would have been addressed well if there were some. |
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
* Was housing included in your program cost? | Yes |
* Was food included in your program cost? | Yes |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $125 |
